Now, what are the must-haves in a healthy home? Well, we have to control the controllables as best we can, and for us, that comes down to water and air. We did a whole-house series-4 filter from Radiant Life. The water samples muscle test really well, telling us that it does what it is supposed to do. It is low maintenance and built from stainless steel instead of plastic, so there is no leakage of plastic into the water from the actual filters. It also removes pretty much every chemical and heavy metal that you know or have heard of while still maintaining the essential minerals in the water. It does all of this while filters last for 1,000,000 gallons, so the maintenance is super low, making it very convenient. We couldn’t be happier with this company’s water. They also have countertop and under-sink units if that is what you are looking for. We did a Whole House system so our laundry, bath/shower, and dishwasher water are all filtered as well.

Next is air. We have been using AirDoctor for a few years now and decided to stay with them because we have had good results with them. Their UltraHEPA filters are the best on the market and are a closed system, so it doesn’t recirculate toxins back into your air. We got new 4,000’s for our new home and love them. They work great, look much sleeker, and come in white or black if you want a darker color, etc. Also, for what’s on the market, they are very affordable for the performance they offer. Remember, it’s about weighing your options of performance vs. cost, and AirDoctor fits in that sweet spot in our opinion.

The next thing we do to keep our air clean is use the Micro Balance EC3 electrostatic sanitizing fogger with their mold solution (SHOP HERE: Use code DRCHARLIE for 15% off). It emits a positive charge to the mold solution droplets to ensure better adhesion to toxins in the air and reach maximum coverage. We will fog our place monthly to keep the air mold and toxin-free and smelling fresh.
