Healthy Home Series - Our Team
Here it is — the first part of our Healthy Home series.
We are so grateful you are here with us. Our goal in this series is to share what we have experienced and learned on our home journey. When looking for, building, or making changes to your own home, it’s important to remember that there is no such thing as perfect, and stress can oftentimes be worse than the unhealthy home itself. It’s not about doing everything, because more often than not, “everything” can feel unreachable or unrealistic. It's about taking the information and knowledge and then prioritizing what you think is necessary for you and your family to thrive.
Over the next few weeks, we will share snapshots of what we learned and what we decided to prioritize in our healthy home experience. For those new here, we purchased an 18-year-old home that we knew would require work to allow it to feel healthy and livable. We didn’t change everything, and down the line, we may dive deeper into other pieces. For now, we addressed what felt like the major concerns and are trusting that that is enough.
This is our journey — not as experts, but as humans who want to feel safe and supported in their living environment. Something so many of you have also expressed. We are excited to share what we have learned and connect you with some of the most incredibly talented experts in the healthy home space. We truly couldn't have done this without them, and we highly recommend finding a team that can support you and your specific home needs.
🚨 At the end of this post, we linked the team we used and swear by - as a reference point for you to either use yourself or to find someone else with similar qualifications.
What can you expect first? We’re starting with the three most important things we focused on from day one of our healthy home project.
Air Quality (Mold)
Electrical Quality (EMF)
Insulation (Is there spray foam? Batting? Rockwool?)
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be breaking down these three factors — what we did, what we looked for, and what we considered. And YES, we will also be sharing all the healthy home aesthetics too! We searched long and hard for brands that are aligned with healthy living and created products that support this lifestyle.
If you think you are living in mold, exposed to mold, or experiencing any mold-related symptoms - tune into this video for more information on how to support your body during this process.
